DS-B - PROFILE DRILLING AND TAPPING MACHINE

DS-B is designed for dual-side high-efficiency drilling and tapping of hollow profiles with square or rectangular cross-sections. The working area of the machine consists of a rotary drilling support with two turret drilling heads (each head has 6 tool positions). The machine is designed for a high level of automation within the factory workflow with automatic loading and unloading of profiles via transversal chain conveyors. After the profile is clamped by a gripper and moves into the working area of the machine, a laser scanner is used to measure the profile edge. Profile is drilled simultaneously from two opposite sides.

Automated Flat Material Processing for Steel Structures
The DS series presents a comprehensive range of automated options for flat material processing. It offers drilling, straight and bevel cutting for weld edge preparation (up to 50°), oxyfuel cutting, tapping, countersinking, and advanced scanning and marking capabilities. The standard work area size spans up to 6,000 x 2,000 mm.
DS-B: Automated Hollow Profile Drilling and Marking
A specialized iteration within the DS series, the DS-B, excels in automatic dual drilling, tapping, and micro-percussion marking of square or rectangular hollow profiles. Its rotary drilling support, equipped with two turret heads and 6 tool positions each, handles drilling up to Ø 24 mm and tapping up to M12. This machine efficiently processes hollow sections up to 300 x 300 mm with lengths of up to 12 m, entirely automating material loading, feeding, and unloading.
Highly Automated Production Solution
The DS series embodies an impressively high degree of automation, ensuring time and cost efficiency in production. Automated loading of plates, unloading of processed parts, and residual material separation streamline the process. The machine's modular design enables customizable unloading processes, including sorting via robotic assistance. Its operation is facilitated by MicroStep's CyberFab" Manager, capable of seamless integration with local ERP systems.
